How astrology fits into your Soul’s incarnation plan

I am not an astrologer but I have followed my astrology every month since 1996 when I first started following Susanne Miller from Astrologyzone.com, who has remained one of my favorite astrologers over the years. I also follow and like Alex Myles and Amy Demure, but I have never felt the urge to study the planets or go deeper than the knowledge of an end user.

So what can you expect from this Soul teaching then?
While this is not a forecast for your sign or any particular planetary movement, this Soul teaching is about how your Soul uses the movement of the planets to initiate you and keep you aligned with your Divine Plan. This information will stay relevant no matter when you read it.

This Soul teaching is evergreen because it isn’t a forecast but rather a resource that helps you research how certain astrological trends play out in your life, how they connect to your Soul initiations, and how they keep you aligned with your Divine Plan. Because Pluto just moved into Aquarius for a 20-year stay, all information regarding this planet will remain accurate for the next two decades.

In the book Autobiography of a Yogi – Sri Yukteswar, Paramhansa Yogananda’s guru says:

A child is born on that day and at that hour when the celestial rays are in mathematical harmony with his individual karma.”  

With the help of the planets and stars the Soul sets up the circumstances that will allow the embodied incarnation to work out its karma (including unresolved trauma) that it is carrying within the Causal body. Because I don’t work with astrology within my client sessions, I usually don’t know how this plays out in my client’s lives. Instead, I will use examples from my personal astrology that you can use to research how this may apply to you in your own life.

Which information is important in determining your astrology?

To get your astrological info as accurate as possible you need to know your:

• birth date for example February 9th, 1971
• birthplace and country for example Bussum, the Netherlands
• birth hour and minutes for example 00:05 or 12:05 AM

From the above information, you can find your sun sign and ascendant or rising sign.

• Your sun sign represents your core personality, sense of self, basic preferences, romantic compatibility, and how you move through the world. It can show you your innate gifts as well as your hard-to-see blind spots. Calculate your sun sign here.
• Your rising sign (ascendant) is derived from the zodiac sign rising on the eastern horizon at the moment a person is born. The rising sign provides insights into our personalities, how we interact with others, and the energy we project into the world. Calculate your ascendant here.

Together, these two signs offer you a brief blueprint of your personality and can give you insight into your Soul initiations and Divine Plan. Knowing your sun and rising signs can also help you understand how the movement of the planets influences you at any given time of your incarnation. Some astrologers work with your sun sign while others work with your rising sign, looking at both can give you a more complete view of what is potentially playing out in your life.

Are we victims of fate or masters of our own destinies?

Many people don’t want to be under the influence of the stars because they like to think that they create their own reality and although this is true on a Soul level, it is far less true on an ego level.

This is because the ego does not have free will in the way the Soul does, the ego can choose left or right, up or down, in or out but it can’t make things happen that the Soul does not deem relevant or necessary as an experience. It can also not create what it deems impossible, unsafe, or that it feels unworthy or undeserving of whether on a conscious or a subconscious level.

People who believe that they create their own reality (which again is true on a Soul level) see being influenced by astrology as a weakness or something undesirable, impeding on what they perceive as their sovereignty. This is because they are creating from their ego or maybe better yet because their ego is taking credit for the creations of their Soul. This doesn’t feel that way to them but bear with me and you will understand what I mean by this.

I would argue that the more the planets and stars influence you, the more evidence you have of your ego (personality) ‘s ability to surrender to the Soul and of your alignment with your Divine Plan.

The more your astrology resonates and accurately describes what you are going through or have gone through in the past, rather than this being a sign of weakness it is a sign of Soul Alignment and spiritual growth.

We get to decide if we are going to be the masters of our own destinies or the victims of our fate, it all depends on the level of true Soul Alignment we are able to embody and whether we follow the whispers of our Soul or the fear-mongering of the ego being haunted by its own shadows. Can we truly surrender or do we need to feel in control?

Astrology sets the stage, what we do with it is up to us…

This is because astrology sets the stage for what the Soul wants for us, but it’s up to us to solidify the potential and impulse being offered to us. Astrology is not a done-for-you process, it comes down to the old saying you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.

The more someone is stuck in ego-identification, the more they are going to rebel against rather than work with the astrological influences they are under.

Within Soul Embodiment® Therapy everything is seen as both happening for us, as well as an opportunity to heal the wounded ego (ancestral, past life, and current life childhood) to come into deeper alignment with the Soul and our Divine Plan.

Astrology, including the placement, and movement of the planets and stars is no exception. It is a tool the Soul uses to guide us home.

It’s the cosmic clock that helps us work through our karma, heal ourselves, and bring us our Soul initiations exactly when we need them. On an ego or personality level, we get to decide how deep we want to take this process which results in our level of Soul Alignment.

The Soul may tee it up for us, but we need to make it happen. We can’t just sit around and wait for things to magically fall into our laps.

This also means that Ascension is not guaranteed or a done deal just because you incarnated in a time where there is great potential for Ascension. You will have to do the actual leg work to bring about your Ascension, which means healing your unresolved trauma and karma as these are the very things that keep you bound to the cycle of death and rebirth.

As I have explained in Part I of the Soul Path series we have used trauma to be able to densify from light beings into physical or human beings and as we are now in the ascending arc of the incarnation process we need to heal our unresolved trauma (& karma) in order to de-densify back into our light being state.

Birth placements, eclipses, transits & retrogrades

Again I am not an astrologer so I can only share what I understand from it and what is relevant to what has been shown to me from the Soul’s perspective to share with you. Although new moons, full moons, and super moons impact us as well, I want to focus on birth placements, eclipses, transits, and retrogrades for my examples of how the Soul uses the placement and the movement of the planets to guide us into embodying our highest potential.

Birth placements

Our birth placements influence who we become and how we express ourselves in this current incarnation. They set the stage for what the Soul wants to experience, heal, and release within this embodiment, who it wants us to become, and what we will contribute to the world while we are here. There are many birth placements, but let’s take our sun sign as an example – I am an Aquarius.

‘Aquarians are highly intellectual and creative, Walker says. Marked by independence, they don’t like to be instructed what to do. Aquarians are ideas people, never suffering a drought of inspiration. “They are known to be progressive thinkers who can see patterns in things others might not notice,” Walker explains. 

Aquarians can be seen as unpredictable, sometimes even moody and often strike others as unique individuals, leading with originality and creativity. Walker lists social work, journalism, humanitarianism, and other helping professions as the right career fit for Aquarians.

They make great medical workers, she says, because of their innate ability to think outside of the box. Aquarians also tend to be very tech-savvy, making them a good match for the IT department.’ Source: eu.usatoday.com

You can see how much my sun sign has influenced me and my contribution to the world. I actually have an IT background, both in corporate as well as in my first business which was an online marketing & web design bureau. I ended up in a humanitarian helping profession and seeing patterns in things others might not notice is the basis of Soul Embodiment® Therapy where I help people break free from their psychological patterns and subconscious programming so that they can embody who they truly are on a Soul level.

My sun sign gave me the predisposition and building blocks to develop myself in this way because it put me on the path of development my Soul wanted me on. The Soul chooses our place of birth, time, etc. because it fits the Divine Plan for the embodiment and sets us on the path the Soul wants us on.

Eclipses

According to Susan Miller, eclipses are the Universe’s ‘wild cards’, they are some of the most dramatic tools that the universe uses to get us to pay attention to areas in our life that need to change. She says that they uproot us, surprise us, and get us moving. ‘They shake us out of our feelings of complacency so that we can move from one level of maturity to another, to a higher plane, and they work very rapidly. Eclipses want us to change, and change we do!’

In 2023, right after the April eclipse, I fell down a full flight of stairs after a therapy session with one of the healers I worked with at that time. That fall that I miraculously escaped with only a cut under my chin that needed some stitches, a painful rib, and a bruised body – opened my eyes to how I had allowed others to keep me small and instead led me to start taking up the space that is rightfully mine. It was a very dramatic experience that ended several friendships and work relationships because I leveled up through this wake-up call.

Eclipses can change things in a heartbeat and that is exactly what happened to me during that eclipse. I was shown a deeper perspective than I had been able to see before and this changed everything including relationships I had previously deeply cherished.

Transits

On November 19th, 2024 Pluto moved out of Capricorn where it has been since January 2008. This placement has affected the cardinal signs the most; Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. If your rising sign is a cardinal sign as well, it will have influenced you more too. Although all signs were influenced by this transit to different degrees and in different areas (astrological houses) of their lives.

Amy Demure works with the ascendant in her astrology forecasts and it was interesting to see how accurate the Libra (my ascendant) description was for me during this 16-year period, click the link to find yours in the comments.

If you read the previous Soul teaching in this series on the dark night of the Soul, you will know that I was basically homeless in 2008 living with my mother. I have also not had a serious long-term relationship since that period, I divorced my second husband in 2009.

‘Pluto in the 4th house brings gradual but deep changes in your home or family life and your psyche. There can be a retreat into yourself during this cycle as you explore, on a very deep level, your roots, childhood conditioning, and feelings of personal security. If you have been feeling somewhat of a victim in your family relationships, for example, then this will be a time when you feel it more acutely and feel the need to do something about it. Avoid focusing on regrets or dead-end situations, as the tendency to obsess over things that can’t or shouldn’t be changed runs very high. According to Vedic astrology:

‘The 4^th house is generally discussed in terms of home and mother but in the Vedic trilogy of house groupings, it is a Moksha or liberation house and connected to the more difficult 8^th and 12^th house.  In fact it is a more troubling place than most astrologers tend to admit. The 4^th house from the moon can be a place that brings deep emotional wounds and physical illness.  What are the secrets behind this very important house?

The fourth house is connected to the heart and the heart chakra and is a place where we have to learn to deal with our feelings and emotional wounds. It is a place of liberation because it represents our emotional life and the need to retreat from the world and gain emotional freedom and if there is no emotional happiness, then we are compelled to search for liberation and enlightenment and a need to move out of emotional pain.  It is one of the most important places in the chart because it is where we seek peace and fulfillment for our heart.’ Source: appliedvedicastrology.com

Not only have I spent much time with my mother these past 16 years either living with her, her spending a lot of time at my home supporting me in running a business as a single mother with young kids back then, to her now living full-time with me since 2018 when we started traveling as a family and then moved to Ibiza, Spain together.

These past 16 years have also been focused on healing my heart and my broken trust. It is no wonder that this culminated this year in Urinary Tract Issues that were helping me dismantle my remaining heart armor as I have described in an earlier blog on the spiritual meaning of UTIs.

Where there is trust there cannot be fear, this is what opens the heart chakra back open to love. If we trust life and the Divine, there is no need to guard our hearts.

I always say that my youngest daughter who died as an infant in the latter part of 2007 was my initiation in trusting the Divine and meeting my Twin Flame seven years later in 2014 was my final exam in learning that it is safe to trust life and the Divine again after eons and eons of living out this wounding. 2024 has taken this ability to feel safe in life no matter what to a whole different level.

It makes total sense that after this intense period of healing my heart and spiritual growth, I would be ready for love again with Pluto now entering my 5th house and staying there for the next 20 years. As a survivor of incest and childhood sexual abuse at the hands of my father’s friends, I found it very difficult to feel safe in my body, the 4th house is about feeling safe at the deepest level.

This childhood trauma that had both ancestral as well as past life roots had to be healed to truly be able to love and feel loved again because such wounding distorts how we experience love. Distorted love was something I constantly saw mirrored back to me in my romantic relationships.

This 16-year visit of Pluto in Capricorn allowed me to heal my deepest wounding that I have been stuck in for eons and eons all the way back to my split from Source. I spent a fortune on working with healers myself doing multiple hundreds if not thousands of sessions during this 16-year period to liberate myself on a Soul level.

The past eleven months have been the hardest time of my life as I have purged out everything that my higher self still wanted out before this new chapter of my life begins. This again shows how the Soul guides and supports us during our embodiment and how it uses the movements of the planets to initiate us.

What are the odds that my dark night of the Soul started with Pluto entering Capricorn and that the opening of my heart chakra coincides with Pluto’s exit from my 4th house? This can only be Divinely orchestrated. I encourage you to check how Pluto has been stirring the pot in your life these past 16 years to help you see this Divine orchestration in your own life. While my rising sign helped me heal on a personal level, my sun sign as you can see helped me on a professional level to get all my ducks in a row for when Pluto moved into Aquarius.

It will be interesting to see how this transit influenced you in your sun and rising sign and if you recognize it. For me, both are absolutely spot on. Looking back, I can see how this influence helped shape who I have become and why I was so focused on my inner work. It all makes so much more sense now, which can be such a healing balm to help us integrate the work we did as we move into the new. This is what I wish for you as well to bring about a sense of closure and peace with the path that brought you here, however difficult it may have been.

Retrogrades

We all know Mercury retrograde, but other planets can retrograde as well. For this example, we will use the recent Saturn retrograde from June 29th to November 15th, 2024. Another uncanny example of how even when we don’t know that this influence is there, it will play out in our lives nonetheless.

Prior to following Amy Demure I always paid more attention to my sun sign, rather than my rising sign although in this case, I didn’t even know Saturn was retrograde really nor did I pay any attention to it. I was too deep in my own process actually. It was only when the Saturn retrograde ended and I read my ascendant description that I was stunned at how this had played out in my life to a T.

On June 17th, 2024, I realized I couldn’t continue working and that I needed to take a break from work for at least three months to face the childhood trauma that was being triggered by the UTI and other vaginal infections I was dealing with since the end of March.

Not only was I dealing with physical health issues that were not healing allopathically or naturally but I was also in such a dark space myself emotionally that I couldn’t work with clients and I had to put my work (aka career) on the back burner for a couple of months which corresponds both with the above but also with the description of Saturn retrograde further below.

During this almost five-month period, I revisited my childhood trauma and found that it was much worse than I had thought and that my father’s friends had also sexually abused me with my father’s knowledge and consent from the age of two to six years old. Before I had believed the incest had stopped when I was three and I had no idea others were involved. It was only through going even deeper into the subconscious mind in sessions with other healers that I was able to access these deeply buried memories and emotions and also release the trauma imprints from the physical body.

In those sessions, I also saw how this same wounding had played out in my ancestral lineage, my past lives, and on a Soul path level allowing me to heal it at the root cause. I have been working on my healing intensively for the past 13+ years under Pluto’s influence and I have never had to stop working because my own process became too intense. I have always been able to combine it with my work with clients until it was time to address my own deepest pain.

The end result of this series of healing sessions was being able to fully love all of me, including the parts I had split off through the experienced trauma and had now been able to reclaim. It’s mind-blowing to in the course of writing this Soul teaching, be shown that this is exactly what a Saturn retrograde offers us: an opportunity to heal and love our inner child, which is what happened for me during this period.

My whole perception of self changed, especially how I see my inner child now. She is absolutely gangsta to have gone through all that and find a way to survive it. I have deep respect for her and her inner strength.

Soul initiations & astrology

What really solidified the importance of astrology in the Soul’s plan for me this year was meeting a new client recently who had the same sun and rising sign as I do and who had gone through the same Soul initiation at exactly the same time and in the same way as I had.

This left me jaw-dropped at how much astrology influences us without us even being aware of it.

The parallels in our stories with both dates as well as decisions lining up exactly were beyond comprehension. It left me wondering, how much we truly control on a personality (ego level) and how much is already there waiting for us to tap into that the Soul has preordained.

Because what are the odds?

She is a January Aquarius and I was born in February, we’re not from the same year or birth time. We were born in different countries in Europe but we still ended up with the same sun sign and the same ascendant that put us on the same track. It will come as no surprise that she is a trained psychologist because it fits both her sun and rising signs.

In the summer of 2021, she changed direction in her career and decided she wanted to work with a different type of client. She wanted clients who wanted to go deeper in their healing process. This shift was initially a huge success until she was led to become the embodiment of the process she was now leading her new clients through, something she had just recently realized when we first met.

In the summer of 2021, I changed direction in my business from Twin Flame focused to where the Twin Flame journey is meant to take us 5D, the New Earth, Heaven on Earth, or Self-realization. I decided that I wanted to work with clients who wanted to heal themselves for themselves, rather than people who only used healing as a means to get what they really wanted which was a relationship with their person. Because healing with an agenda leads to pseudo-healing and not actual healing or spiritual growth.

This decision resulted in new clients that were already convinced of the power of healing such as psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists, etc. and this helped me expand the Soul Embodiment® Therapy method to encompass our complete Soul Journey since we split from Source.

This was a successful shift until I too was led to become the embodiment of my own deepened work, which as you have read in this Soul teaching culminated recently for me in the final mop-up of Pluto in Capricorn and the Saturn retrograde that gave it an extra push that made me even have to surrender my work because I was being forced out of doing into being.

Having been conscious of my own descent into the underworld as a Soul initiation into the mysteries of the Divine Feminine, I was able to share with the client that she like the Sumerian Goddess Inanna was in her own descent into the underworld to reclaim the Divine Feminine within. This resonated with her as she could see how this process had played out in her own life over the past 2,5 years.

This encounter really showed me how what we think are individual processes are instead collective processes that are being prompted by the planets and the stars. Seeing this actually deepened my sense of safety and trust in my Soul and the Divine Plan that is unfolding.
