  • Where trauma is stored in the various different bodies
  • How trauma left unresolved can create discomfort and disease
  • About the causal body and how to clear out your karmic template – ultimately leading to Ascension
  • How trauma can create stagnation in the energy body and eventually trickles down into the physical body when left unresolved
  • and more….

Unresolved pain and trauma gets stored everywhere

This means that we don’t only carry our unresolved pain and traumatic experiences mentally and emotionally, we also carry them vibrationally and physically.

As humans, we have multiple bodies, which are part of our multi-dimensionality. We of course can see, feel and touch the physical body, but it quickly gets abstract from there. As with all spiritual concepts, there are different schools of thought, some only teach a four-body model, while others teach a seven-body model. For this teaching, we will stick to the four-body model but there are of course more bodies to our multi-dimensionality such as our light body and celestial body that exceed the physical realm.

When we have experienced trauma that was left unresolved, the imprint of that trauma and the unresolved pain experienced through the trauma is stored in our mental body, our emotional body, our physical body, and our vibrational body.

This is also why there are deeper layers to our unresolved pain that need to be addressed in order to fully heal the experience and why we often have to revisit a traumatic experience from our past, that we thought we had already healed simply because it is being healed on a different level.

When we experience a traumatic event, we respond mentally, emotionally, physically (fight or flight reaction), and vibrationally. This ‘response’ is imprinted on the corresponding body, for example, the mental body imprints a false belief or fear on the subconscious mind about what this experience ‘means’, the emotional body imprints the intense emotions that the experience and our mental interpretation creates. The vibrational body imprints the mental- and emotional-energetic frequency which is either high or low (all trauma-related emotions are low vibrational on the scale of emotional frequency by Dr. David Hawkins see image on the right). The physical body imprints the response from the other three bodies, plus any possible physical pain or sensations that it feels.

This is why talk therapy is only one part of the equation, although the same can be said for bodywork or healing modalities that work on the emotional body. They are all in a way incomplete because unresolved trauma is stored in multiple places (bodies) and not just in one place where it can be neatly extracted. It needs to be released from all four bodies, for the healing to be complete and contrary to popular belief there is no one ultimate healing modality that facilitates this – not even the one I teach, the Soul Embodiment® Therapy method.

Whether we simply want to release our painful pasts or actively work towards our Ascension into the next available dimension for the human race (5D), we need to release trauma from our four lower bodies which not only carry unresolved trauma and pain from this lifetime, but also from previous lifetimes from our soul’s journey through time and space, as well as the ancestral karma (transgenerational trauma) we agreed to take on from our maternal and paternal lineage.

There are no shortcuts to this inner work, there is no ultimate healing modality that will fix everything in a matter of months, nor can you mindset, meditate or journal your way through this. You will simply have to do the work and use multiple healing modalities to address the same issue maybe but on a different level.

When it comes to the level of healing that I am talking about, there is no such thing as self-healing. You need to work with healers, yes they cost money and that’s okay because your soul will always provide for you and this is especially true when you invest in your healing – because this healing is what allows us to return to the oneness with our own soul.

Healing is not a luxury, it’s a necessity.

It really doesn’t matter which type of trauma

All trauma that is left unresolved imprints on all four bodies. It’s not like childhood trauma imprints only mentally and emotionally, or that past life trauma is only carried vibrationally and ancestral trauma is only imprinted physically as it is passed on through our DNA.

No, it’s not like that.

All types of trauma leave imprints on the four different bodies within our human experience.

They also imprint on the causal body, which isn’t actually a body in the way that the others are. The causal body is where ahamkara (our sense of separateness) is stored, this sense of separateness is caused by our unresolved trauma (the wounded ego), which is part of our karmic load.

The causal body is more like a seed energy instead of a true energetic body, it holds the karmic template that records or stores the impressions from our previous lives. It not only holds the past but records new imprints from our current life experiences as well. This means that we can of course add karma to our already existing karmic load.

This karmic template affects all aspects of the creation of the physical and subtle bodies. This includes deformities, looks, and intelligence, as well as mental and emotional tendencies, as it sets the stage to allow us to heal what was left unresolved in our past (lives and family lineage).

Although the physical, mental, and emotional bodies die at the end of each lifetime, this is not true for the causal body or the vibrational body to a certain degree. When we die the causal body follows us from lifetime to lifetime carrying our karmic records with it.

The reason I mention the causal body is that when we heal the other four bodies, it empties out the causal body which causes it to cease to exist. The karmic or causal body never dies, as it is not really alive to begin with. It is a seed sustained by karma.

To understand this, one has to understand what karma truly is. Karma is not simply a tally of good or bad deeds, it’s the collection of the misinterpretations of our experience from our state of separation. It is in part the trauma filter through which we perceive life and respond to it, that creates our karmic load. In other words, our unresolved pain and trauma is part of our karmic load. When we heal this, we heal the separation between the wounded ego and the soul which simultaneously empties out the karmic imprint that is held within the causal body.

This means that everything that we resolve in this lifetime (even from previous timelines) is extracted from the causal body field and is not part of our imprinting in possible future lifetimes. The healing we do in this lifetime, not only heals our past but our futures as well when we remove the imprints within our causal body.

We cannot work within the causal body directly, but all the healing we do within the mental, emotional, physical, and vibrational bodies works through in the causal body. This is how healing our unresolved pain and trauma from the past leads to self-liberation on a soul level. It brings us into Mukti and later Moksha, the liberation from the cycle of death and rebirth aka Ascension.

Within the Soul Embodiment® Therapy method, we can get access to the karmic templates held within the causal body to find the original wounds that created the karmic patterns that have been repeated over lifetimes and lifetimes. Healing the original wound collapses all timelines in which this pattern was played out and removes it from the karmic template imprinted within the causal body.

Unresolved pain can create discomfort or even disease

When we fail to address our unresolved pain and trauma it creates discomfort and eventually disease. This easily happens because we carry most of our unresolved emotions within our subconscious mind outside of our conscious awareness. Unless we go looking for the root causes, we usually do not readily see how our here and now is a re-creation of our past.

According to Dr. Brenda Davies, every illness can be traced back to the soul level. If we don’t deal with it then, it trickles down to the emotional level, then the mental and eventually it gets our attention when it gets to the physical level.

The subconscious mind is forever pulling in the people, situations, and experiences needed to heal our unresolved past. Discomfort and disease are but one of the ways that this is done.

This means that when we do not address our issues when they occur on a more vibrational level, that they materialize in the physical and become problems that we are left no choice but to deal with.

Of course, when you are in need of mental or physical healthcare do always go to your physician. This is in no way meant to say that all your issues can be magicked away spiritually because that is nonsense. However, there are recent scientific studies that link both addiction and certain diseases to unresolved trauma. For example, the connection between repressing your emotions and contracting cancer is a well-documented link in medical research.

“It’s not that unforgiveness causes cancer. It’s that the suppression of anger, resentment, and grief disrupts the normal operation of our bodies. These disruptions lead to weakened immune system responses, and it’s this weakened immune system that opens the doors to illnesses and diseases.” Source: Claranaum.com

Spiritual psychologist Clara Naum lists a couple of conclusions made by cancer researchers on her website:

  • Stanford University researchers found that women who repressed their emotions were more likely to show disruptions in the normal balance of the stress hormone cortisol. (This can cause alterations in immune system response and suppression of the digestive and reproductive systems.)
  • The Journal of Psychosomatic Research reported that extreme suppression of anger was the most commonly identified characteristic among 160 breast cancer patients.
  • A University of Colorado study found that people who repressed their emotions after a traumatic event had lower immune systems than those who shared their feelings.

This all supports the idea that unresolved trauma and pain when left unaddressed can create discomfort and disease within the physical body. Healing the physical body is only one part of the equation then because we have to address the root causes as well in order to bring about complete healing.

The root causes are the unresolved pain and trauma, that are being held outside of our conscious awareness because they are too painful to face (which is what repressing emotions comes down to). The whole reason we repress emotions, to begin with, is that they are too painful and often too scary (overwhelming) to allow ourselves to feel through. Moving our unresolved pain into our subconscious, allows us to continue to function in our day-to-day lives relatively normally until this survival mechanism is overexerted and ceases to function.

Of course, in the end, we can never escape our unresolved painful past. There comes a point where we have to face it, in this lifetime, and if we fail to do so in the next. This may sound like a punishment, but it is actually grace, as otherwise we would basically be stuck in Groundhog Day in all our incarnations without ever being able to become free. Spiritually it comes down to; you can run but you can’t hide. Simply because your subconscious in an effort to help you heal will keep offering you the people, situations, and experiences you need to free yourself from the past once and for all.

Storing trauma in the vibrational body

When it comes to storing trauma in the body it can be stored everywhere on a vibrational level, the main three places are the aura, the meridians (nadis), and the chakras. On this level, trauma creates energy blocks within the vibrational or etheric body. When this is left unaddressed, the blocked energy creates problems in the physical body for example the organs connected to the meridians or the areas of life that are governed by the chakras.

Trauma starts on a mental level, according to the interpretation or association that is made in reaction to an experience. This evokes an emotional reaction, the emotions create a vibrational reaction, which when not addressed over time or depending on the severity of the trauma impact creates a physical reaction.

Shock is an example of an immediate physical trauma response, but when we are for example not allowed or threatened not to talk about a traumatic experience the emotional reaction becomes suppressed which then creates stagnated energy over time, which in the end slows down the corresponding functions in the physical body. This is also true when the experience was too traumatic to deal with and we dissociated in order to survive. It doesn’t matter if the repression of emotions is voluntary or involuntary, (conscious or unconscious) the effect is the same in created stagnation in the energy body.

Certain emotions or certain beliefs create energetic blockages in the corresponding chakras and/or meridians. For example, grief tends to create energy blockages in the lungs and heart chakra. Anger affects the liver and gallbladder. Overthinking affects the spleen, and fear is connected to the kidneys according to Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Recently I did a series of Heart healing sessions with a therapist and these sessions focus on your relationship as a child with your caregivers. In my case my father showed up, my mother, my first wannabe stepmother, and my nine-years older half-sister. It was fascinating to see where and how early childhood trauma had imprinted on the vibrational and physical body. I had stored trauma in the lungs, my heart chakra, my solar plexus chakra, my root chakra, and my sacral chakra. Some of my deepest pain in this lifetime was released in these sessions.

Storing trauma in the physical body

When it comes to the physical body, again trauma can be stored everywhere and usually not randomly of course. Louise Hay for example linked her cervical cancer to the sexual abuse she experienced as a young child. She created a beautiful legacy of work where she connected the emotional causes to disease in her book ‘You can heal your life‘, but she is not the only one there are other older resources on this and newer. I for example have the book ‘The Key to Self-Liberation: Encyclopedia of Psychosomatics Fundamental Psychological Origins of and Solutions to 1,000 Diseases and Other Phenomena‘ by Christiane Beerlandt which is very interesting and uncannily accurate I have found.

What is interesting is that we hold all types of trauma in the physical body, this is because the subconscious is the body. This means that we hold past life trauma in the body, childhood trauma, current life trauma, and ancestral trauma in the physical body.

April 2021 as I was on the way to the beach close to my home, I randomly fell down a flight of stairs on a stone staircase. Normally no one is on that staircase but that day, there were workers there who helped me together with my son get back to the top of the staircase. Out of nowhere, I had lost my balance walking on my signature island flip-flops and I was hurled down the staircase. Luckily I grabbed the railing in my fall and was able to stop myself from being cast down further and maybe even hitting my head. Instead, I crashed with full force on the left side of my body and twisted my foot so badly it was locked in cramp for hours. I broke my foot in three places and was on crutches and in a wheelchair for weeks.

‘The feet often store toxic energies (as often to do with grief or resentments as not), as far away from the Heart as possible. This means, in the feet. Often, these are issues that go all the way back to childhood. Lacking the tools to effectively release grief or resentment the body stores it, like it stores fat. Over time, more and more toxic energies are stored here and fill up the receptacle. In many cases, the entire leg can become involved and the waste starts leaking back into the system. This is a very serious situation indeed, that can lead to amputations, blood disorders and even death, as the body struggles to protect the Heart. Metaphysically, it becomes clear that the space you are standing in is painful. The key is to move on. Stop dwelling on the past, release or transform whatever it is that keeps you emotionally standing still.‘ Source: Loredana Trandu

In the weeks following my unexpected fall my deepest pain from past lives, my maternal and paternal lineage, as well as my childhood, started to come up in healing sessions. By breaking my foot, I was given the opportunity to heal these issues once and for all.

Remember the subconscious mind is forever pulling in the people, situations, and in my case experiences that will help you heal what was left unresolved.

Another even more recent example of a past life imprint on the physical body emerged 1,5 weeks ago. Something had happened that made me reach out to the person I recognized as my Twin Flame and when he confirmed this, I realized that I did not want to share energy fields with him as we are literally moving in opposite directions at the moment. This has been true for quite some time, but now more than ever I was being shown how his decisions were reverberating in my energy field which I was no longer okay with.

For most of you on the Soul Partnership journey, you may think that this was connected to a romantic outcome but it wasn’t. It was something so random, but so crucial to me that I wanted to disconnect completely and this is where it gets really interesting. Because within hours I developed a painful and slightly inflamed right-hand thumb. I had already agreed to an etheric osteopathy session with my friend Giulia, so I shot her a message on Sunday to schedule it in.

She wasn’t able to schedule me until Tuesday, I love Giulia to bits and she is an amazing therapist but I would not go to her in regards to things regarding Twin Flames. So, when the session started moving in that area I did not want to go there and I told her that I had already booked a session with another healer to work on shutting his energy out. She didn’t let up though and insisted we looked further, there were two points the third and fourth vertebrae in my neck and two others lower down that were twisted in the area of my heart chakra.

Despite my initial resistance, she tapped into a previous lifetime in Egypt where my twin and I were together and had a loving relationship but a hard life where we needed to work hard to have money to fulfill our basic needs. He started to want more, a better life, and this not only came with more money but also another woman for which he left me in that lifetime.

In the information, she tapped into she saw that I had a jewel crested dagger in my hand, ready to kill him and the woman until in a moment of utter clarity I realized that him leaving me had nothing to do with my worth. The pain in my thumb Giulia said, was from holding the dagger.

In the end, I didn’t kill them, but instead despite knowing that it wasn’t about my worth I twisted my perception (the two twisted vertebrae) and told myself that it was because I wasn’t good enough that he left me because I didn’t want to lose him and our love. Blaming myself, was the only way at that time to hold on to him and our love that I had cherished – which was nothing but a case of massive denial of course. This was ultra-clear, to the me now, but the past life expression of my soul in that lifetime wasn’t able to see this at that time simply because she didn’t want to lose him.

So, basically what it came down to was that I was energetically (and this was of course outside of my conscious awareness) holding on to this other person with all my might for the past maybe 3,000 or 4,000 years! Talk about unhealthy attachments. This was showing up in my thumb as I could literally not hold on to anything anymore with my right hand. Every movement hurt, like a dagger being jabbed into it. I couldn’t pick things up, I drive a stick shift like every self-respecting European woman, but I could hardly get it in the right gear.

I mean this is my right hand, my dominant hand, with which I do everything and now every movement hurt like hell. The worst thing was that instead of it getting better after the session, my right hand and thumb only started to hurt more. It was like now that I was finally letting go energetically, that my hand was releasing the tension of metaphorically gripping on tight for thousands of years.

Notice that this is just another example of a situation in this case in the here and now, which made me decide to completely sever my energetic ties with this person that brought up the opportunity to heal a deep trauma bonding with him from a previous lifetime. This was the equivalent of Stockholm syndrome, in how I twisted my perception to make my situation bearable for myself. Which is just as riddling as the logic, behind falling in love with an abuser or captor, it’s simply a coping or survival mechanism in reaction to a traumatic experience.

Just to be clear, I am not angry with him or anything else. I purely made this decision, because it serves my highest good at this moment not even knowing that this unhealthy trauma bond was existing between us over multiple millennia. I had no clue whatsoever, because of course if I had known this I would have dealt with it earlier. It only opened up, when I decided that I no longer wanted to share energy with him or have his energy in my energy field because I felt it to be counterproductive, I say this with every ounce of respect for the choices he makes for himself – I just don’t want to have to live with the repercussions of those choices in my energy field because they aren’t choices that I want to make for myself.

The following Wednesday and Thursday my right hand and thumb kept hurting and then Friday I had an appointment with my acupuncturist. I had bought a thumb brace in the meantime so I could give the thumb a break but could continue to use my hand, drive, and so on. When I showed my acupuncturist my thumb, I of course didn’t mention anything about the past life trauma. He’s an acupuncturist so I don’t bother him with such details. He starts stretching my fingers, massaging the affected, and slightly swollen area, and then tells me that the fourth and fifth vertebrae are connected to the nerve that ends in my thumb and that it is probably being pinched from the back of my neck!

The trauma was stored in the third and fourth vertebrae, together with the other two that were twisted in the back of the heart chakra. I was completely dumbstruck. He gave me a neck adjustment and the pain in my thumb immediately went down from a 10 to a 3. It is not completely healed yet, but I have an appointment with a chiropractor soon to get my first adjustment post my fall and I have the session with the other healer this week, to let go of this soul connection even deeper.

For those seeking to have a union with their Divine counterpart, that would not be possible anyway with such deep trauma attachments from previous lives bleeding through. They would first have to be released anyway in order to come to the true vibrational frequency of unconditional love (which is of course attachment-free). Of course, the vibrational frequency that this past-life expression of my soul was latching on to him with was from a frequency of pure desperation, Desperation is on the opposite side of the scale as unconditional love. It resonates at the frequency of fear instead of love.

I pray this teaching has given you a deeper understanding of how trauma is stored in the vibrational and physical body and how important it is to release trauma from all the four lower bodies as well as the causal body in order to bring about true and complete healing on a multi-dimensional level.
